Category: Sharpeners

Ceramic is longer-lasting, more effective and much cleaner than conventional Corundum whetstones.

These stones are much harder than the traditional whetstones, so they wear a lot slower. They will sharpen knives faster and are particularly good for a lot of the ultra hard Japanese steels, SG-2, HDP-40 and ZDP-189. The stones require a lot less lubricate, i.e. they just need a little water or oil and make a lot less mess as less material is removed.

Christopher J. ★★★★★

I was skeptical about ceramic stones, but this one doesn't need soaking and leaves almost no mess compared to my old oil stone. The 3000 grit side gives a razor-sharp edge on my paring knife in just a few passes.

Avery P. ★★★★★

The 1000 side took my dull chef's knife from useless to shaving-sharp in under ten minutes, and the 3000 grit left a mirror-polished edge. I love how the ceramic stays dead flat and doesn't need constant soaking like my old stone. Cleanup was just a quick rinse with no oily mess.

Matthew ★★★★★

Switching from oil stones was the best decision—this ceramic one stays flat and works fast, and cleanup is just a quick rinse under the tap. My kitchen knives are back to shaving-sharp after just a few passes on each side.
