Ceramic is longer-lasting, more effective and much cleaner than conventional Corundum whetstones.

These stones are much harder than the traditional whetstones, so they wear a lot slower. They will sharpen knives faster and are particularly good for a lot of the ultra hard Japanese steels, SG-2, HDP-40 and ZDP-189. The stones require a lot less lubricate, i.e. they just need a little water or oil and make a lot less mess as less material is removed.

Chloe ★★★★★

My old whetstone was worn to a dish in the middle, but this ceramic set feels like it's barely breaking a sweat after a month of weekly use. The hardness really shows—it stays flat and sharpens faster than I expected without any of the messy slurry.

Julian H. ★★★★★

Surprised at how little mess there is compared to my old stone—no more scrubbing gray sludge off the counter. The ceramic surface feels almost glassy, and after three knives it still looks brand new.

Eva B. ★★★★☆

The ceramic stone cuts faster than my old whetstone and stays flat, but the included angle guide is a bit fiddly for smaller blades.
